Boss Katana Tone Studio
Apr 03, 2021 Running kernel 5.7 on Debian Unstable and still cannot seem to get the USB interface working on the Katana. Output works fine, but input doesn't. In Audacity, for example, hitting record doesn't do anything. The bar doesn't move. However, if I set my output to the Katana and play a random bit of noise out of it, it will miraculously start. Hi, I wanted to record audio from my boss katana 50 through the usb, into Audacity on my laptop. The problem is, there is something strange going on with Audacity when I press record: the audio position on the bottom shows the passage of time in milliseconds. PSA: The KATANA also takes audio in across the USB cable I found a setting at System - USB called Loopback. Turning it to ON allows the KATANA to accept incoming sound signal across USB. Using Audacity, that means setting the input to Secondary (2 - KATANA), and the output to the same. Then I set it up in Audacity. I set KATANA as the input and then KATANA Air as the output, and I plug my headphones into the amp to monitor. It seems to work, the recording gets made, and the sound quality is pretty good except that there is a weird periodic popping noice. A lot of Boss Katana owners are unaware that you can actually hook your android phone directly into any Katana series amp. Which version of audacity are you using plus which version of windows please as I have audacity 2.1.2 plus windows 10 and in audacity it just will not accept my panning left and right from my mixer and so I can’t get.
